Emese & Ricsi
Kiskunhalas, on a warm day in July. We knew it was going to be an eventful, beautiful wedding. After shooting their engagement session we were certain that we would have an easy job and they would pay attention to every little detail on their wedding day. We were not disappointed.
We have never had a bride getting ready outside on a field before. It was touching to see the thoughful gifts they gave to each other as a surprise in the morning. To get a little tearful while the bride was asked from her home from her mother. To listen to a personal speech in the church, where the group of priests were all good friends with the couple. For the creative pictures we returned to the well-tried and intimate pine-avenue and to the lake, where we just had to hit the button on the camera, they were so graceful, natural and truly happy. We had shot other weddings in the same reception location before, but this decoration was surely well beyond the others. The day ended with a fun party, but let just the pictures and slideshow speak for themselves. Thank you again for letting us be a part of your day and we wish you much happiness in the future!
Zsófi & Basti
If I want to conclude what really matters, I have to start with Basti’s words (I will try to quote accurately): “When we first met, we have told you that the most important for us is to capture the moments – and you have managed to get it.” In our point of view, that’s the essence of wedding photography… so we were happy to hear that. :)
We have to tell that we had a really great time with Zsófi, Basti and all of their friends: a group of lovely, joyful people, who started the day with a collection of funny, surprise photos for Basti: they have given the day a perfect start. Also they are responsible for letting Zsofi & Basti to really enjoy the day and the party in the evening – simply said, they have done everything a friend can do for a wedding.
Budapest had shown its most beautiful face on this sunny summer afternoon, when we were lucky to shoot the photos in the castle, and on that fancy bus with the open-air rooftop. We also have to mention and admit that Zsófi had a sense for design and details, which we loved a lot – it matters, especially if you are trying to photograph what you see. :)
We prefer to let the photos tell the story instead of words, so please enjoy the slideshow (on top of this blog post) and this brief selection of our favourite images!
Zsófi & Basti
We really love Budapest for having so many different “faces”, different moods, locations. Being a photographer here is really a great gift – we find completely different places for photoshoots from week to week, without the need to travel a lot. We just have to find a location which fits the needs and personality of our couples. :)
Seeing the city through the eyes of someone not grown up here is especially exciting: we were really lucky with Basti. Even though he came from abroad, he has spent a long time studying here, therefore he had the time to find his own favourites, and not just the most touristic locations. Therefore now we have followed the recommendations of Zsofi and Basti, even if we have kept some for the wedding also – it was the time to visit the old Jewish quarter and some of the so popular “ruin pubs”.
We loved both the bustling, crowded market and the slightly ruined but still colorful houses, gardens and staircases. We have almost felt ourselves as just tourists wandering with friends around – even if we were photographing them, and not the city itself. :)
We have met a really creative and colorful couple – just have a look at the accessories! So we are really waiting the wedding now… :)
