Eva & Jonathan

Probably my favourite photo of the season… :)

I have learned it the past few years that someone everyone finds something different in the same pictures – so I can only summarize what stands out for me from the wedding photos of Évi and Jonathan. But clearly, there is something special on their faces that I have already seen on the wedding, but I have realized it fully once working with the photos.

Just to follow the “timeline”, and starting with the wedding preparation pictures: I’ve never had such strong “father and son” photos before. Despite (or especially becuase?) I basically didn’t give them any instructions apart from asking the to move in the light, I was impressed by all the intimate moments and little gestures of the Father, and how naturally it was received by the Son. It was kind of a lesson for me: it wasn’t too much, it felt clearly natural, but so clear interpretation of the Father’s and the Son’s role that’s rare to see.

Secondly, and probably the most important, about the couple. Watch out for all their looks and little touches, in the details (and not the “big picture”, the poses or the surroundings): these two love each other, really. How they look at each other is the naive and honest childlike joy. Just look at the photo taken at the beginning of the ceremony, when they finally stood next to each other again.

Normally, we’re not a “fanatic black and white” type of photographer – but if there’s something special in the pictures, it helps to focus on the facial expressions, emotions and the important details… I have spent some time thinking on why the portraits work so well in black and white now – and then I realized this “childlike joy”, and understood everything. :)

We really wish Évi and Jonathan to keep this joy throughout their life – what we can do for now is to give some memories of how they’ve started their marriage. So please have a look at our favourite photos below, and enjoy the slideshow:

Orsi & Peti

It was not the first wedding in my life that meant a lot for me on a personal level… but probably the first that really made me emotional. Suprisingly, even after, when I was just working with the pictures, and, at the end, watching the slideshow completed by my wife, the slideshow-specialist of the WeddingGrapher team. :)

I do not want to reveal all the personal feelings and stories behind, but: it was a wedding we have been waiting for a long time – and for sure, we really wanted to be part of it, and do our very best for them. Typically we have to focus on being emotionally involved “enough” in a wedding, to become “sensitive” – but now, we had to focus not be too much involved, and remain professionals in our work. Hopefully we managed to be professional photographers and human beings at the same time… :)

Vicky & Tristan

By far our most important observation about Vicky and Tristan was the visible beauty of their connection – the way they look at each other, how they touch each other, … that’s why we felt blessed already with their engagement session.

The real gift in addition to this was to see them with their friends and family. Even though from photographic aspects it is probably not the most exciting part of a wedding, but personally, for myself one of the most important part of the day is when all the friends and relatives are queueing and expressing their felicitations to the couple. Sometimes it tells a lot about their relation – and there is nothing that tells more about you then your relation to the people you’re surrounded by. And if I recall what I have seen at Vicky & Tristan’s wedding, we have learned a lot there, and what we have learned was heartwarming. Being a friend of them seems to be joyful at least. :)

The slideshow of course tell a lot more (at least we hope) about the wedding day, that was only one reason to watch… so please sit back, get a headset and come with us to be part (again) of this beautiful day – which was gifted in many ways, including an unexpected but brightly shining sunlight, among others. :) In addition to the slideshow, beyond you may find some of our favorite images.
